A Smoother Way In

August 24, 2026·1 min readModelsMobile
A Smoother Way In

A smoother way in

When Anuma's portal asks you to prove you're not a bot, the challenge now renders properly — a real verification widget, not a raw server error. It also opens as a modal from your chat, rather than blocking you with an inline message you can't dismiss. And if you back out of the login method sheet on web, its exit button is on screen again instead of hiding behind your browser's own toolbar.

Storage gets sturdier

Your memory lives in local, encrypted storage, and this week that storage recovers better from a slow or interrupted start. A stalled cold open now offers a working Retry instead of staying degraded for the rest of your session, and a bug that could let it try to recreate a vault that already had data in it is fixed.

Small stuff, fixed

A cookie-consent toast — shown to visitors whose browser sends Global Privacy Control — could get stuck open, caught by styling meant only for the sign-in modal; that's fixed too. On mobile web, the address bar, safe areas, and sidebar drawer now size against what your device actually reports instead of overlapping. Dark mode's body text uses the correct near-black shade again. And MiniMax M2.7 has been retired as Fireworks winds the model down.

Image generation changes hands too: Grok Imagine is the new default, and GPT Image 2 has been retired — any saved GPT Image 2 selection moves over to the new default on its own.
